Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 2, 2025
These Terms and Conditions apply to all courses offered by American Manga Academy. By submitting an application and completing payment, you agree to the terms below.
1. Course Format
All courses are currently delivered online only via live video lessons and digital platforms. Students must have access to a reliable internet connection and a device suitable for attending virtual classes.
2. Admission Process
Course seats are limited. All applications are reviewed by our admissions team, and acceptance is subject to availability and course requirements.
Tuition fees are paid only after the student has been officially accepted. Instructions for payment will be provided in the acceptance email.
3. Course Materials
All courses include printed and/or digital learning materials, which will be shipped to each student upon receipt of payment. The materials are an essential part of the course and are included in the total course fee.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Because our courses have limited seats and involve physical materials that are prepared and shipped in advance, our refund policy is as follows:
- Before materials are shipped:
If you withdraw after being accepted but before materials are shipped, we may issue a full refund upon written request. - After materials are shipped:
Once the course materials have been shipped, refunds are no longer guaranteed.
However, if you cancel your participation at least 30 days before the course start date, we may refund 80% of the course fee, retaining 20% to cover material and shipping costs. - Exceptional cases:
If we have a waitlist and we are able to replace your spot with another accepted applicant, we may still issue an 80% refund, at our sole discretion.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
📧 admissions@americanmangaacademy.com
We reserve the right to evaluate each case individually, based on the timing of your request and class availability.
5. Non-Transferable Enrollment
Course enrollment is personal and non-transferable. Once accepted, your seat in the course cannot be transferred to another person.
6. Code of Conduct
We are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive learning environment. All students are expected to participate with professionalism and courtesy. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the course without refund.
7. Class Size and Faculty Commitment
Each course has a limited number of seats, and most classes are capped at 15 students per time zone (EDT and PDT). This ensures individual attention and high-quality instruction.
We aim to balance student needs with the well-being and preparation of our teaching staff. Your cooperation is essential in maintaining a sustainable and enriching academic experience for all.
8. Changes to Courses
We reserve the right to:
- Adjust class schedules or instructors if necessary
- Cancel a course if minimum enrollment is not met (in which case all fees will be fully refunded)
Students will be notified of any changes in a timely manner.
